Countertime Routine

My Countertime Skin Care Routine

Thank you for your purchase of Beautycounter Countertime products. I know you will see amazing results and I’m so happy to be sharing my beauty routine with you! Follow these simple instructions and enjoy the results of your commitment to taking care of yourself and your skin. Make sure you use all the steps AM and PM. As always, please reach out to me with any questions!

Before you start: Label and layout your products on your sink or in a caddy you can see. A tiny bit of set up goes a long way! I label my steps with a permanent marker for a fast, easy grab.
My routine includes products that are not found in the Countertime Collection, but I still want to include them since I’m sharing my full routine. If you see the text in blue these are additional products.

My current skincare for pro-aging, clear, smooth, luminous skin:

Step 1 (a)

I use eye makeup remover to remove eye makeup, being careful not to pull on the area on or around my eyes.

I use bamboo makeup washable rounds with my Beautycounter Safe Eye Makeup Remover to remove eye makeup from my brows to my lashes.

Before Step 1 (b)

When I have makeup on or want to do a double cleanse.

I learned about the double cleanse from reading experts in the industry. A double cleanse is when you cleanse first with an oil-based cleanser (like Lotus Cleansing Balm or Countertime Lipid Defense Cleanser) and follow up with a water-based cleanser (like Countermatch Refreshing Foaming Cleanser or the Counter+ Charcoal Cleansing bar.

Double Cleanse

1:  Choose your oil-based cleanser:  Lotus Cleansing Balm or Countertime Lipid Defense Cleanser

2: Choose your water-based cleanser: Countermatch Refresh Foaming Cleanser or Charcoal Cleansing bar.

Helpful tip: The Lotus Cleansing Balm has many other uses, too. It’s an excellent replacement for toxic products you might have like petroleum jelly and cuticle cream. It’s very concentrated and lasts a long time.

1. Cleanse

Countertime Lipid Defense Cleansing Oil
(label bottle with a #1)

How to use:  Dispense 2-3 pumps into hand and massage onto dry face and eye area. Add warm water to form light milk, then rinse clean. Use morning and night. Washcloth optional while rinsing. Pat dry.

2. Prep

Countertime Mineral Boost Hydrating Essence (label bottle with #2)

How to use:  Pour a quarter-size amount into hand. Gently press into face and neck with fingertips. Use morning and night after cleansing and before other skincare. It dries on your face quickly.

3. Treat

Countertime Tripeptide Radiance Serum
(label bottle with a #3)

How to use:
Dispense 1-2 pumps into the hand. Smooth onto face, neck, and décolletage with upward strokes. Use morning and night. Rub remaining into hands!

Brush your teeth with a non-toxic toothpaste while the serum soaks into your skin.

Right after teeth brush and my Countertime serum has had 2 minutes to soak in I apply these add-on treat steps so they are also labeled a #3 for a treat step but they do very different things than my Countertime serum and I need what they do!

AM: I use my All Bright C Serum here in the AM only, and it is every morning! (label #3 AM)

PM: I use my Overnight Resurfacing Peel here Every Other Night.  I do MWF and sometimes a Saturday or Sunday.  The idea is not to use it every night but some people do> to make sure you are getting a t least 3 times a week commit to MWF and easy to remember (label #3 PM )

I floss after I put on my 2nd treat step to give it a minute to soak in before my moisturizer

4. Protect

AM: Countertime Antioxidant Soft Cream
(label #4 AM)

How to use:  Dispense 1-2 pumps into the hand. Smooth onto face, neck, and décolletage with upward strokes. Use daily.

PM:  Countertime Tetrapeptide Supreme Cream (label #4 PM)

How to use:  Scoop a small amount onto fingertips. Massage gently into face, neck, and décolletage with upward strokes. Use nightly, as well as during the day if extra hydration is needed.

5. Eyes

Countertime Eye (Label #5)

How to use:  Apply the product with your ring finger. Gently pat around the eye area until fully absorbed. Use morning and night.

Note if the Countertime eye cream is too heavy for you to put makeup on right away try the Countermatch Eye Cream for daytime and the Countertime eye cream at night.

6. Oils

Oils (Label #6)

If you would like, you can use oils during the day. You can use the oil alone or mix 3 drops into your AM moisturizer. I use my oils at night after my moisturizer is on.  I let my moisturizer soak in for a bit. (Applying oils after your moisturizer allows the oils to seal the hydration into your skin).  If you are pressed for time, you can mix 3 drops of oil into your nighttime moisturizer too. ONLY USE oils on the nights you are NOT using the Overnight resurfacing peel so Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday, & Sunday

+ I use the No 1 oil around my eyes on top of my eye cream and on my cheeks, where I have sunspots.

+ I use No 2 oil  around my chin and forehead furrow for sagging and deeper lines

+ I use No 3 oil on any redness, usually around the nose for me but great on cheeks and any rosacea

7. Lips

Lips (Label #7)

Use Lip Conditioner every night

How to use: Rub a small amount onto lips.

8. Sun Protection

Sun Protection (Label #8)

I take a break, letting all of that soak in, and enjoy my breakfast. Before I start applying any makeup, I put on Countersun Daily Sheer Defense For Face – SPF 25. Wearing an SPF is essential even in the winter because it blocks blue light from computers and cell phones (which damages our skin) and sun (UV) exposure from windows and time outside.

You can buy the Countertime Collection as the 6 piece collection and SAVE or buy piece by piece, as you run out. The Countertime Collection comes with eye cream and is less expensive to buy as a collection than each piece individually. Here is the link for the entire collection:

To purchase by the piece just put the name of the product into the search (magnifying glass) and click plus on the product.

When used accordingly the Countertime Collection lasts about 6 months.

The Countertime Regimen is 5 pieces of the collection. It does not include the eye cream. If you need an eye cream, it is less expensive to buy it with your Countertime Collection!  The regimen has 2 products that are a bit smaller than what they are in the collection. See regimen here:

I look forward to helping you tailor your skincare to your needs using the highest performing, cleanest skincare in the US!
