Beautycounter Countertime with Reflect Effect AHA Smoothing Facial Mask: PM Routine

If you follow me on Social (FB/Insta), you have likely already heard me raving about the new Beautycounter Reflect Effect AHA Smoothing Facial Mask. Many of you have tried it, love it, and have asked me, “Where does this fit into my Countertime Routine?”

It’s an excellent question, and, as always, I have the answer! If you do your mask in the evening, see below for your Beautycounter Countertime with Reflect Effect AHA Smoothing Facial Mask: PM Routine!

1. Cleanse

How to use:  Dispense 2-3 pumps into hand and massage onto dry face and eye area. Add warm water to form light milk, then rinse clean. Use morning and night. Washcloth optional while rinsing. Pat dry.

2. Prep

How to use:  Pour a quarter-size amount into hand. Gently press into face and neck with fingertips. Use morning and night after cleansing and before other skincare. It dries on your face quickly.

*Let Essence dry thoroughly.

3. Treat

3(a)

How to use: Gently, but quickly, spread a small dollop over clean, dry skin.
Set a timer for 10 minutes. Do not leave on longer than 10 minutes.
Wet hands and gently, without rubbing, remove the mask by continuing to rinse with water and lightly going over your face with your fingers in a circular motion.

Important: Please choose 2 mornings/evenings per week and use consistently. For example, I use my Reflect Effect Mask on Tuesdays/Thursdays and my Overnight Resurfacing Peel on Monday/Wednesday/Friday.

*Do not use your Reflect Effect AHA Smoothing Facial Mask on the same night as the Overnight Resurfacing Peel.

3(b)

After your mask is removed, you will reapply your essence. This time, though, the essence will be still wet on your face when you proceed to the next step.

How to use:  Pour a quarter-size amount into hand. Gently press into face and neck with fingertips. Use morning and night after cleansing and before other skincare. It dries on your face quickly.

3(c)

Apply serum immediately to face still damp with Essence.

How to use:  Dispense 1-2 pumps into the hand. Smooth onto face, neck, and décolletage with upward strokes. Use morning and night. Rub remaining into hands!

Pro Tip: Brush your teeth with a non-toxic toothpaste while the serum soaks into your skin. I also floss after I put on my 2nd treat step to give it a minute to soak in before my moisturizer

4. Protect

4(a)

How to use:  Apply the product with your ring finger. Gently pat around the eye area until fully absorbed. Use morning and night.

Note: if the Countertime eye cream is too heavy for you to put makeup on right away try the Countermatch Eye Cream for daytime and the Countertime eye cream at night.

PM

How to use:  Scoop a small amount onto fingertips. Massage gently into face, neck, and décolletage with upward strokes. Use nightly, as well as during the day if extra hydration is needed.

5. Oils

Oils

If you would like, you can use oils during the day. You can use the oil alone or mix 3 drops into your AM moisturizer. I use my oils at night after my moisturizer is on.  I let my moisturizer soak in for a bit. (Applying oils after your moisturizer allows the oils to seal the hydration into your skin).  If you are pressed for time, you can mix 3 drops of oil into your nighttime moisturizer too.

Important: ONLY USE oils on the nights you are NOT using the Overnight resurfacing peel (Example: Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday, & Sunday)

+ I use the No. 1 oil around my eyes on top of my eye cream and on my cheeks, where I have sunspots.

+ I use No. 2 oil  around my chin and forehead furrow for sagging and deeper lines

+ I use No. 3 oil on any redness, usually around the nose for me but great on cheeks and any rosacea

As always, if you have any questions, please ask. If you have any Before/After results to share, I love to see those too!
