Countermatch Routine
Thank you for your purchase of Beautycounter Countermatch products. I know you will see amazing results and I’m so happy to be sharing this beauty routine with you! Follow these simple instructions and enjoy the results of your commitment to taking care of yourself and your skin. Use all four steps AM and PM, as directed for optimal results. Products are concentrated. Use as directed, and they will last approximately 6 months. As always, please reach out to me with any questions!
Before you start: Label and layout your products on your sink or in a caddy you can see. A tiny bit of set up goes a long way! I label my steps with a permanent marker for a fast, easy grab.
Tip: To make this part of your routine, always cleanse face before getting dressed or brushing your teeth.
I use eye makeup remover to remove eye makeup, being careful not to pull on the area on or around my eyes.
I use bamboo makeup washable rounds with my Beautycounter Safe Eye Makeup Remover to remove eye makeup from my brows to my lashes.

When I have makeup on or want to do a double cleanse.
I learned about the double cleanse from reading experts in the industry. A double cleanse is when you cleanse first with an oil-based cleanser (like Lotus Cleansing Balm or Countertime Lipid Defense Cleanser) and follow up with a water-based cleanser (like Countermatch Refreshing Foaming Cleanser or the Counter+ Charcoal Cleansing bar.
Double Cleanse
1: Choose your oil-based cleanser: Lotus Cleansing Balm or Countertime Lipid Defense Cleanser
2: Choose your water-based cleanser: Countermatch Refresh Foaming Cleanser or Charcoal Cleansing bar.
Helpful tip: The Lotus Cleansing Balm has many other uses, too. It’s an excellent replacement for toxic products you might have like petroleum jelly and cuticle cream. It’s very concentrated and lasts a long time.
1. Cleanse
Countermatch Refresh Foaming Cleanser

Important for cell renewal to cleanse face features squalane, plum oil, and phytic acid to remove face and eye makeup (we have a great eye make up remover, too let me know if interested in trying), wash away impurities/bacteria, and get you glowing.
How to use: Work a dime-size amount of cleanser into the palm of your hand. Then, massage onto damp face and neck for 1 minute. Rinse.
2. Prep

How to use: Dispense two pumps onto a cotton pad or, better, a bamboo reusable pad hold pad next to the dispenser. Swipe over clean, dry face. Use daily after cleansing, morning and night.
3. Treat

With continued use, the skin will feel firmer and look brighter with a more even tone.
How to use: Dispense one pump into hands, then massage into face, neck, and décolletage with upward strokes. Use daily after cleansing and toning, morning and night.
Pro Tip: Brush your teeth with a non-toxic toothpaste while the serum soaks into your skin. I also floss after I put on my 2nd treat step to give it a minute to soak in before my moisturizer
4. Protect
AM: Countermatch Adaptive Moisture Lotion
Offers the essential building blocks of hydration, nutrition, and oxygenation to keep skin soft, smooth, and glowing.
How to use: Dispense 1-2 pumps into hands, then massage into face, neck, and décolletage.
PM: Countermatch Recovery Sleeping Cream
Provides rich, intense moisture to amplify skin’s nightly repair process. Shields skin from moisture loss.
Tip: The first time you have to push it many times to start the flow. Text me if it doesn’t come out, and I can share a trick.
How to use: Push the side button to release a dime size amount, then gently massage into face, neck, and décolletage with upward strokes. Use nightly.
5. Eyes
Helps visibly reduce the appearance of under-eye shadows, dark circles, and puffiness.
How to use: Lightly pat one small dot around the eye area using your ring finger until fully absorbed. Use daily, morning and night.

I take a break, letting all of that soak in, and enjoy my breakfast. Before I start applying any makeup, I put on Countersun Daily Sheer Defense For Face – SPF 25. Wearing an SPF is essential even in the winter because it blocks blue light from computers and cell phones (which damages our skin) and sun (UV) exposure from windows and time outside.
Get dressed and allow the moisturizer to absorb before putting on makeup.
